Mine Bitcoin (XBT).
Get paid in the block itself.
Earn extra for Decentralizing the network.

No pool balance, no withdrawals, direct to you on chain. Any Siacoin BLAKE2b ASIC works. Build your own blocks with DATUM: pay 0% and collect a share of the public stratum’s fee on every block the pool finds.

The first pool anywhere to put its stratum hashrate behind a DATUM subsidy, paying miners to decentralize the network instead of charging them for it.

Two ways in · one gets paid extra

Run a node and a DATUM gateway and you choose the transactions in the block. Point a miner at us and we choose them. Same window, same payout — but DATUM work pays no fee and is handed seven and a half points of the stratum’s fee on every block.

Set up a DATUM gateway. Use iohzrd so a block you find pays the whole window — and every block anyone finds credits you the bonus. Which gateway

Straight from Prime and the node. Refreshes every ten seconds.

  • Paid in the block itself. No pool balance, no withdrawals. When a block is found, its coinbase pays your address directly. See the next payout.
  • Bring your own gateway, keep 100% — and then some. Run Bitcoin Knots and a stock DATUM gateway: your node builds the block template, the pool only sets the split. Public stratum is 15%, and seven and a half points of that is credited to DATUM miners on every block. Connect.
  • Verifiable end to end. Every share is rebuilt and hashed; every block found is on the Lazarus Mempool. Source on GitHub.

Share of the coinbase by payout address

Window shares is accepted shares still in the window; Window % is that address’s share of accepted work; XBT is its output after that miner’s fee. Amounts assume the base subsidy — transaction fees in the block scale every output up in proportion. A share whose coinbase pays anything else is refused.

    1. Recommended iohzrd Master 7491a50 — StartOS pow_0.4.1_23 ships the same commit. A found block pays the whole window: every BLAKE2b miner gets the 16 KB coinbase. If the pool split is late, one job can still pay only the pool.
    2. CONVOY Master b9ea7dc. Firmware size classes still apply on BLAKE2b, so a found block often pays only the first ~17 miners. An Antminer A3 is served a pool-only coinbase.
    3. FlyTheElephant Now the same code as CONVOY (b9ea7dc): size classes, and a new height starts subsidy-only. Older FlyTheElephant / OCEAN-lineage builds still send a pool-only full job on every new block — rebuild from current master or switch to iohzrd.

Six short answers, then the long versions if you want them. No account, no sign-up: mining here only ever needs a payout address.

Proof of work, in one minute

Miners race to find a number that makes a block’s hash fall below a target. It is pure trial and error, so the only way to win more often is to do more hashes. That cost is what makes rewriting the chain expensive. Difficulty retargets so blocks keep arriving at a steady pace however much hashrate joins.

      How the pool fits in

      Why this chain uses BLAKE2b

At block 961,640 (30 August 2026) this chain changed its proof of work from SHA-256d to BLAKE2b. Supply, halvings, addresses and every earlier block are unchanged. BLAKE2b is what Siacoin ASICs were built for, so that hardware mines here.

      The fork, and BIP-110

      What DATUM changes

On an ordinary pool, the pool decides what goes in the block. With your own DATUM gateway and Bitcoin Knots node, you build the block template and the pool only coordinates the reward. That keeps block-building spread across many hands. Here it costs 0% and earns a bonus.

      The DATUM subsidy

      How TIDES pays

TIDES keeps a rolling window of accepted shares worth about eight network-difficulties of work. When the pool finds a block, every address holding work in the window is paid its proportion. There are no rounds to hop between and nothing resets when a block lands.

      TIDES explained

      Paid in the block itself

The pool never holds your coins. Each payout is an output of the block’s own coinbase, sent to your address. There is no balance, no threshold and no withdrawal, and anyone can check every payout on chain.

      Non-custodial payouts

      A pool that caps itself

The public stratum is held to 15% of network hashrate. Past that, new stratum connections are relayed to other pools and paid there. Miners on their own DATUM gateway are never counted, because building your own templates is not what centralizes a chain.

      The 15% self-cap

From zero to mining, the DATUM way

      1. Get a payout address. Any wallet that gives you a bc1… address on this chain. That address is your username; there is nothing to register.
      2. Run your own node. Bitcoin Knots for this chain, with server=1 and a cookie or RPC user your gateway can read. Your node is what chooses the transactions in your blocks.
      3. Start a DATUM gateway. Build one (iohzrd is the recommended build), paste in the Lazarus host, port and pubkey from the Connect page, and set mining.pool_address to your address.
      4. Point your miner at your gateway. Any Siacoin BLAKE2b ASIC, aimed at your own gateway’s stratum port, with the username address.worker.
      5. Watch it work. Your gateway shows up under Gateways and your address under Miners. You pay 0%, you build your own blocks, and every block the pool finds pays you the DATUM bonus on top.

      Words you will meet

      Hashrate
      Hashes tried per second. 1 TH/s is a trillion a second; 1 PH/s is a thousand TH/s.
      Share
A hash good enough to prove you are working, though not good enough to be a block. Shares are how the pool measures your work.
      Difficulty
How hard the network’s target is. It retargets so blocks keep their pace as hashrate comes and goes.
      Coinbase
The first transaction in a block, which creates the reward. Here it pays miners directly.
      Block template
The draft block a miner hashes: which transactions are in it, and who the coinbase pays.
      Window
The stretch of recent shares TIDES pays on. Here it is eight network-difficulties of work.
      Gateway
Your own DATUM software. It talks to your node for templates and to the pool for the reward split.
      Orphan
A valid block that lost the race to another found at the same moment. It pays nothing.

      How it works

How your share becomes a payout.

For newcomers and operators alike. Your ASIC never sees any of this — it hashes a plain BLAKE2b header.

      1. You hash, the pool counts

Point a miner at the public stratum, or at a DATUM gateway you run. Either way your username is your Bitcoin address. Every share you send is rebuilt into a full BLAKE2b header and hashed by Prime; accepted work is credited to your address in the TIDES window.

      2. The window decides the split

The window holds the last 8 × network difficulty of accepted work — days of pool work at typical hashrate, not the last hour. A found block pays each address in proportion to its share of that window, less its fee. A new rig starts near 0% and ramps as its work enters and older work ages out.

      3. The block pays you directly

Prime hands every gateway the same coinbase output list — the one shown under Next payout. A share whose coinbase pays anything else is refused, so whoever finds the block, it pays the window. There is no pool balance to withdraw and no operator to trust with your coins.

      Decentralize the hashrate

Other pools that speak DATUM and TIDES.

No single pool should hold a third of this chain. We cap our own stratum at 15% of the network; hashrate behind a miner’s own DATUM gateway builds its own blocks and is not counted. Past that line, new stratum connections are relayed to one of these pools and paid there. Each one lets you build your own block through a DATUM gateway and pays by a TIDES window, so splitting your fleet across them costs you nothing in principle. Keep one as a failover in your miner either way.
